01. Mockingbird

Do you watch the news?
Is it watching you?
Are they cutting checks
To maximize their views?
Do they twist and spin
To make a lose a win?
Do you doubt your own eyes can see
The reality you’re in?
Do you believe that they are really on your side?
Are they telling the truth or is there something they’re trying to hide?

Rebel, think
.Are you talking in sync
With the anchors, papers, corporations?
Blood money can buy
A politician can lie
Do you feel great about the state of our nations?
Big Pharma’s in bed
With bankers, brokers, The Fed
No judge is gonna let that class action stick
They funded the Axis
With American taxes
This whole world is just a rich man’s trick
Do you believe that game wasn’t rigged from the start?
When their mouths are moving,
Do you think they’re speaking from the heart?

Sing Mockingbird
Don’t say a word
About the truth, lies, or in between
The news desk is a stage
Just read the words on the page
And make me feel ya through my TV screen
Sing Mockingbird
Don’t say a word
About what the plebians need not know
Got them slaving away
For Uncle Sam’s payday
So you best just get on with the show

The following is brought to you by Big Pharma
Side effects may include:
Mass Formation Psychosis
Dying Suddenly (TM)
And losing your damn mind...

Sing Mockingbird

Don’t say a word
About the truth, lies, or in between
The news desk is a stage
Just read the words on the page
And make me feel ya through my TV screen
Sing Mockingbird
Don’t say a word
About what the plebians need not know
Got them slaving away
For Uncle Sam’s payday
So you best just get on with the show

02. Sell The Record

You’ve got your black-squared obedience
On your digital spectre
Don’t mention politics
You just sell the record
No one wants the truth, they want a good time
Take it from me, honey
Keep ‘em drinkin’, keep ‘em dancin’, keep your mouth shut
And take the money

They’ll build your house on shifting sand
And abandon ship

Why does talent come with
Cliche behavior
A pedestal and lowest
Common denominator
Surrounded by pimps and prostitutes
Money and drugs
PR sweeps the bodies and bad press
Under the rug

They own your face, they own your name
They take your pay and make you play the hits

C’mon and play the hits!

Just remember when you’re old and grey and you’ve wasted your days
That, baby, you chose this

03. The Hard Way

We live our lives telling a story
Of what we’ve said and done
But lately you’ve caused me to worry
That you’re spinning fiction
One look in your eyes reveals a lifetime
Of anger and pain
I see because I’ve been down that hole and I
I made it back again

Why do we keep on living this way?
Why do we keep on making the same mistakes?
I know we try to do it right, but we have
Gotta learn the hard way

He drains the life and leaves his poison
On every flower he sees
It took me so long to figure out that
He was doing the same to me
Now you want to try to understand him
By playing his game
You’re a butterfly, why would you choose to become
Another moth to the flame?
Why do we keep on living this way?
Why do we keep on making the same mistakes?
I know we try to do it right, but we have
Gotta learn the hard way

How hard we try
You showed us that we don’t matter
You can watch it die or
Save yourself from being bitter

Why do we keep on living this way?
Why do we keep on making the same mistakes?
I know we try to do it right, but we have
Gotta learn the hard way

04. Unbreakable

I can feel you despise me
Lion and demonize me
Need me to be the proxy by which all of your dreams
Could ever come true
You want to flourish
But you ain’t got the courage
You say you push me and play me to save me
But baby it’s all for you

And I am so tired
Of giving you my all
And I’m praying for a fire
To burn it all down or make me unbreakable
You’re not a monster
Just a weak one who wants to
Climb the ladder and play the fame game
And write your name among the stars
I’m not your gate-keeper
You’re just a late sleeper
You play the rooster seducer, I’m your ego booster
Crowned losers, this kingdom of ours

And I am so weary
Of carrying the weight of your world
And you don’t even hear me
My momma said “Girl,
Don’t you give a swine a pearl.”

And I am so tired
Of giving you my all
And I’m praying for a fire
To burn it all down or make me unbreakable

05.  The Great Reset

You’ll own nothing and be happy

That’s what they say

Your house, your car, your kids aren’t yours

They’re property of the State

What price did you put on your liberty?

Did you desire

Some peace of mind, a little security?

You shall have neither

The Great Reset is coming, No use running

Living in a constant retreat

I’m praying for Revival, Life’s more than survival

Wake up and fight before you lose everything

Plans in motion for a century

Powers conspired

Removal of God, Degradation of the family

Strike up the choir

Of propagandist talking heads of your screens

Keeping your weapons pointed

At each other, not the people pulling the strings

Satan’s anointed

The Great Reset is coming, No use running

Living in a constant retreat

I’m praying for Revival, Life’s more than survival

Wake up and fight before you lose everything

Orwell’s no prophet

He spent his time watching

Human behavior

The world is not hopeless

Keep Jesus in focus

Your promised Lord and Savior

The Great Reset is coming, No use running

Living in a constant retreat

I’m praying for Revival, Life’s more than survival

Wake up and fight before you lose everything

The Great Reset is coming, No use running

Living in a constant retreat

I’m praying for Revival, Life’s more than survival

Wake up and fight before you lose everything

06. Broke Ass Blues

Well I’ve got 25 cents til Friday

“Past Due”s and “Shut Off”s we can’t pay

We’ll be outdoors if we can’t make the rent

My phone is off, I can’t call the bank

Can’t drive to pantries on an empty tank

When the paycheck comes, that money’s already been spent

Well it’s the broke ass blues

That has my heart torn in two

I paid my dues

Can’t seem to make that mountain move

They say the way out is through

But just what the hell

Am I supposed to do

When I can’t pay my bills

Singing these broke ass blues

I emptied my apps of all of my funds

Used up the rest of our WIC for the month

And fell to my knees “Please, God, see us through.”

Cuz I don’t see how we’ll get through this mess

They charge us, and fine us, and tax us to death

Can’t pick myself up by my bootstraps if I ain’t got boots

And it’s the broke ass blues

That has my heart torn in two

I paid my dues

Can’t seem to make that mountain move

They say the way out is through

But just what the hell

Am I supposed to do

Am I just wasting my time

Singing these brokeass blues

They say the way out is through

But just what the hell

Am I supposed to do

When I can’t feed my kids

Singing these broke ass blues

07. Work

Nothing in this world is as it seems

Billions spent to control what we perceive

Corporations, chains we can’t see

Living off the ashes of the American Dream

They seized the market, squeezed our options

Overseas’d our means of production

Media stirs up a distraction

While Congress votes to send it through

They grow stronger, we get weaker

Slave labor makes phones and sneakers

But at least the rope is cheaper

Convenience is the noose

You gotta work

The enemy don’t have to do nothing at all

He just whispers in our ear and laughs as we fall

Fear is a poison you feel but don’t think

Why sit at the table when you watched them make that drink?

When are you gonna realize

The serpent fills your heart with lies

Venom poised to paralyze

You’ve gotta learn to flip the script

Persuasion with precision

Got you locked in indecision

Time to motivate your vision

If you want to slip that grip

You gotta work

You gotta work (Don’t make a rich man richer)

You gotta work (Spend your life miserable and bitter)

You gotta work (Don’t waste it a dreamer and a wisher)

You gotta work (Find the guts to paint your bigger picture)

I gotta work, Gotta toil

Gotta suffer in the soil

Gotta sweat, I’ve gotta bleed

Blister my hands to plant the seed

I won’t give up, I won’t back down

Until I hear that blessed sound

I’ll work my hands to the bone

Til my Creator calls me home

08.  The World We Leave Behind

I had a dream last night

I was murdered for speaking the truth

I had no fear for my life

But this world consumes the youth

When my fighting is done

And my spirit has gone

My battle will be won

But my children must carry on

Fools will mock and jeer

Don’t you pay them no mind

It’s not death that I fear

But what kind of world we’re leaving behind

To the next generation

Don’t give in to seduction and mind control

Love the Lord more than creation

Don’t gain the world at the cost of your soul

Fools willmock and jeer

Don’t you pay them no mind

It’s not death that I fear

But what kind of world we’re leaving behind

09. Mother

I’ve been watching this world of late
Seems deception is the ruler of this age

Screams in the darkness, War on the poor

History has seen this all before

I’ve been silent as they destroy and abuse

Keeping quiet keeps the lies louder than truth

I’ve lost sisters, I’ve lost brothers

I’ve lost a baby at the hands of another

They weren’t just taken, but given away

Justifying barbarism in the modern day

They said you were a speck and I’d recover

But I was your mother

We were young and alone, Divided and conquered

Disinformed and defeated for years in the desert I wandered

Thought I was making sense, avoiding consequence

A human being has more meaning that convenience

Deep inside I knew it was wrong

But I held onto my pride and I went along

I’ve lost sisters, I’ve lost brothers

I’ve lost a baby at the hands of another

They weren’t just taken, but given away

Justifying barbarism in the modern day

They said you were a speck and I’d recover

But I was your mother

I should have known that wasn’t how it had to be

There’s no way now to bring you back to me

After years of lies and hiding from the pain

I have decided not to let you die in vain

I’ve lost sisters, I’ve lost brothers

I’ve lost a baby at the hands of another

They weren’t just taken, but given away

I should have protected you and I’m the one to blame

They said you were nothing and that I’d recover

But I was your mother

Yeah I was your mother

I was meant to shelter and love you

Oh I was your mother

I pray you’re happy and I pray you’re not in pain

I pray that one day I will hold you again

10. Kingdom

I have brought my questions to the Lord

With the little bit of silence I can afford

So many days of struggle with my faith

I’d beg and plead “God, please show me Your way.”

He brought me from the evil of that place

And gave me redeeming grace

My former life saw me haughty and proud

Built on shifting sand and broken vows

It all came crashing down before my eyes

I dwelt so long in darkness until the day I saw the light

Depraved and defiant and desperately losing control

Til He came and saved my soul

Save my soul

Save my soul

Set me on fire

Let it burn a righteous blaze

Make me whole

Meet my desire

To take in your amazing grace

I lift my voice

In battle cry

Til the fight is over and the war is won

Then I’ll rejoice

Of the Lord on high

Give all Glory to the kingdom come

HA (Glory to the kingdom come)

LE (Glory to the kingdom come)

LU (Glory to the kingdom come)

YAH (Glory to the kingdom come)
